As Everton’s stay in the Premier League continues to get big attention from the Brazilian media, we now get to see more quotes from Richarlison about the win against Crystal Palace.
This time speaking to Globo Esporte, the forward had a few words about the pitch invasion at Goodison Park, pointing out how tense the Toffees fans were during that game.
“The invasion of the crowd was something I had never witnessed in my career,” Richarlison told Globo Esporte.
“They were all very distressed, worried about the situation, and in the end it was a relief for everyone to win and escape relegation. It was all very exciting.”
Richarlison also talked about how much this match meant to him, claiming he doesn’t want to go through that scenario again.
“It was one of the most special games of my career. A moment I will never forget. We went through a very difficult situation during the season, there was nothing calm during the year and what remains is the learning of all of us, because a team like Everton can no longer be in a situation like this.”
After the match on Thursday night, the Everton star had also spoken to ESPN Brasil. Interviewed by reporter João Castelo-Branco, the player highlighted the reception and support from their fans at the Goodison Park, claiming that motivates the squad to ‘give their life’ for the club.
Richarlison now completes four years at Everton, with a total of 152 matches played, and 53 goals scored.
