Turkish newspaper Fotomac report Bundesliga side RB Leipzig are trying to negotiate with Crystal Palace to confirm the signing of Alexander Sorloth.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side are heavily interested in signing the Crystal Palace owned striker, who’s currently on loan at Trabzonspor. However, Fotomac report the Turkish side are not keen to let him leave on the cheap after he topped the scoring charts in the Super Lig last season.
Trabzonspor have the option to make Sorloth’s move permanent for €6.5m, and Fotomac claim Leipzig latest offer of €22m has been rejected.
It’s claimed Leipzig officials have instead contacted Crystal Palace with regards to signing Sorloth and this has angered the Trabzonspor board.
Palace reportedly asked Trabzonspor to give them information about what their plans regarding the Norwegian striker, and a move could even be completed in the coming days.
Sorloth scored 33 goals in all competitions for Trabzonspor last season, and his contract at Selhurst Park will expire at the end of June 2022.
