There’s been lots of disagreements in the Spanish media about Pau Lopez’s move to Tottenham Hotspur, which we’ve been covering daily. But the side of those who say the move is happening seems to be getting stronger.

AS published an article with some inside information saying the talks have been developing well, although the sides are still to find an agreement about the price of the permanent deal.

The website claims that the goalkeeper is taking the move naturally, and doesn’t appear distracted in training.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to be wanting Pau as soon as possible, and this hurry is making Espanyol look for a replacement already.

The goalkeeper is expected to sign for Spurs for a bit more than €500k on a loan deal. The permanent signing is still being negotiated, and there’s a chance to include a Tottenham player in the business.

AS mentions Nabil Bentaleb as a possibility, but Tottenham have no intention of loaning him and a permanent deal would be too expensive for Espanyol.

The update seems positive, and considering everything AS are saying, the clubs only need to fix a price now.
