The report claims the Blues ‘decided to go with everything’ for Dembele, especially now that they gave up on signing Serge Gnabry from Bayern Munich due to his high price.
According to Sport, Dembele has many offers on the table, but only three clubs could afford his demands. Those are said to be Chelsea, Juventus and Manchester United.
Even though the player has been telling his Barcelona teammates he’d like to stay, the difference between his asking price and what the club can pay is said to be ‘huge’, so that’s a very unlikely scenario.
That’s why his agents are talking around and looking for the best offer. Chelsea’s attempt in January was turned down by the Frenchman himself, and this time, the Blues are willing to pay a good bonus and high salary to convince him.
