Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira spent last season on loan at Lazio and they want to retain him, according to La Lazio Siamo Noi.

The Serie A side appointed Maurizio Sarri as Simone Inzaghi’s successor and the new coach would have ‘asked the club’ to bring the 25-year-old back.

Pereira struggled for regular minutes last campaign, but the former Chelsea manager’s desire to have the player at his disposal has seen the leaders of the Italian club ‘immediately reconnect’ with the Red Devils.

The Biancocelesti’s plan is to take the Brazilian on a loan deal with ‘right or obligation to redeem linked to certain parameters’.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side need to be ‘convinced’ for the deal to take shape and the website adds the Serie A side are taking steps to achieve it.

As per the report, ‘the negotiation is underway’ and Sarri’s new club are hopeful an agreement can be found with the Premier League side.

This is presented as a serious attempt for the transfer.

Pereira has ‘repeatedly sent signs of love towards’ the Italian capital club, and with both parties have a desire to continue their association next season, a deal is there to be done, if Lazio can convince United.
