Chelsea look to have lost Andreas Christensen to Barcelona, with endless reports from the Catalan media this week detailing the situation.

According to what is being reported close to the Blaugrana, the Denmark international had the first part of his medical last week and underwent the second part on Monday afternoon. His agents are set to fly out to Barcelona this week so that the signatures can be put down, and that would be the end of that.

Chelsea didn’t seem to put up too much of a fight for Christensen, with there being clear annoyance after the player changed agents and dumped any agreement he had with Thomas Tuchel’s side.

One man who doesn’t want to leave a similar bad taste is César Azpilicueta, and Tuesday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo reports the 32-year-old doesn’t want to upset Chelsea, ahead of a possible future move to Barcelona for himself.

Whilst he’s keen on the move to Spain, the club captain knows Chelsea have an option to extend his contract by a further year and he would rather settle things amicably than force his way out.

Mundo say the situation means Barcelona have to ‘negotiate with Chelsea’, and the idea of a transfer fee being paid is now rising.
