If there’s one defender who has the chance of training against some of the best players whether he is with club or country, it’s Thomas Meunier.
When in Paris, he gets to test his skills against the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, while his international teammates Eden Hazard and Dries Mertens provide him with a challenge whenever he represents his nation.
That being said, the Paris Saint-Germain right-back is never worried when facing either the Chelsea star or the France starlet.
Why? They don’t train with that much intensity.
Speaking to Konbini in France, the defender took part in a quickfire interview where he was asked which of Mbappé or Hazard gave him the toughest time in training.
He said, with a smile: “Neither of the two, because they’re both players who don’t give 100% in training, so I know I’ve always got a chance against them.”
If you were wondering, in the same interview, he also revealed he preferred Belgian chips to French fries, and would always want to play like Belgium rather than the way France did at the World Cup.
A whole lot of good that did them…
