Brazil’s national team coordinator Edu Gaspar has an ‘open path’ to joining Arsenal this summer, according to reports.
Globo Esporte and UOL both claim that despite his R$8m release clause, the CBF is letting him go for free in case he wants to take a new job at the Gunners.
Although several Brazilian outlets have already claimed that Gaspar is taking a position at Arsenal, both websites now treat it more carefully, claiming that he ‘has an offer’ to move to London.
After retiring as a player in 2011, Gaspar had a role of director of football at Corinthians until 2016, when he followed manager Tite to the national team.
He’s been getting some criticism from the Brazilian media for the favourable way he’s been treating Neymar around the national team. Not long ago, an ESPN journalist wished ‘his condolences’ to Arsenal for signing him.
