Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson won’t be taking part in Brazil’s upcoming games.

That was revealed by national team manager Dorival Junior, who was today interviewed by TNT Sports.

Even though the outlet is still to release the coach’s quotes, reporter Fred Caldeira took to Twitter to share some information on what was said by the new boss.

Junior explained that due to his injury, Alisson will miss the friendlies against England and Spain, which are taking place at the end of March.

Liverpool recently officially said that the goalkeeper is out of the match against Luton Town this week, with manager Jürgen Klopp not giving many details, so the news from Brazil now confirms that he’ll be sidelined for a lot longer.

Alisson is certainly looking forward to playing for Brazil again as soon as possible, as Dorival Junior has just arrived in the job and is preparing the team for his first challenges. There are few friendlies before the Copa América, so if he misses out on all of them, he’s very likely to stay on the bench during the summer competition.
