CalcioNapoli24 are claiming an exclusive on Monday evening, stating Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Allan during the winter transfer window.
It’s claimed Spurs have put the player in their sights and would offer €40m for a January switch, but Napoli are set against it.
The report talks Allan up, saying that right now there’s no other player to match him in Serie A. He’s excelling at getting the ball back from the opposition, and that’s seen the midfielder end up in the ‘spotlight’ of the ‘great clubs of Europe’.
Tottenham have been ‘probing the ground’ and watching the Brazilian, but Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis is totally set against a move in January won’t listen to ‘any kind of offer’.
It’s claimed that after receiving a refusal over another Napoli player, Amadou Diawara, Spurs turned their attention to Allan.
Strangely, CalcioNapoli24 say that Joe Lewis is involved.
Whilst Tottenham ‘make €40m available’ for the move, and an offer is half anticipated, it’s made clear Napoli will reject it.
This seems to be an exercise in both talking Allan up and explaining how strong the Naples club are when it comes to transfers.
