Real Madrid have ‘made it known’ they could repeat what they did with David Alaba to bring Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger to the club.
That’s according to Marca, who cover the situation around the Chelsea man and Paul Pogba today, stating that Rudiger’s circumstances are ‘much sweeter’ and ‘generates less noise’ than the Frenchman.
Rudiger, as we’re sure you’re aware at this point, is out of contract with Chelsea at the end of this season and yet to sign a new deal.
That’s opened up the possibility of a free transfer, and all the big clubs in Europe are said to be eyeing up a move, including Real Madrid.
He signed on a free transfer from Bayern Munich this summer, with Madrid paying him big wages and signing on fees to lure him to the club.
That’s an operation they are willing to repeat with Rudiger but have told the centre-back he ‘must wait until January’ for the move to happen.
That would again see them repeat what they did with Alaba, who signed in the second week on 2021 and then moved in the summer.
