Argentina’s Diario Hoy have reiterated Juan Foyth’s representatives expect PSG to offer the same conditions as Tottenham Hotspur, with the defender’s transfer still not agreed.
For Diario Hoy ‘everything indicates’ that Foyth is close to signing for PSG, which suggests the French club have matched what Spurs were proposing.
PSG, unlike Tottenham, have managed to come to an agreement with Estudiantes, so the transfer doesn’t have a lot of barriers in the way now.
El Dia see things very differently, and believe Tottenham could still be in the race. Foyth isn’t exactly thrilled by the idea of signing for PSG, report the Argentine newspaper, because the French club have an abundance of players in his position.
This is why Tottenham aren’t yet completely ruled out for El Dia, with the London club being more attractive to Foyth and his family, who have more confidence of chances under Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino’s presence has previously been stated as a reason Foyth would look more kindly towards Tottenham than other clubs.
After Tottenham seemingly left the race in a huff, following PSG’s acceptable offer, the player’s desire is giving them a way back in.
The 19 year old defender was this week summoned for a meeting with Jorge Sampaoli, with the Argentine media believing Foyth is a possible call-up for the national team in the near future.
