Anything can be a transfer sign at this time of year, so Mehdi Benatia going to Juventus on his return from Russia and picking up parcels has encouraged rumours in Italy of an exit.
There had already been claims Benatia could be leaving the Turin club this summer, if they bring in someone else to replace him.
Whilst links with Atletico Madrid’s Diego Godin may seem a little on the optimistic side, if someone makes a reasonable offer for Benatia then it’s hard to imagine Juventus knocking it back.
Arsenal are linked by several Italian newspapers on Thursday.
Gazzetta dello Sport carries the story about the defender and his trip to get parcels, and states Benatia’s position at the Serie A club isn’t so strong. He’s got no shortage of admirers, and Arsenal, Marseille and Borussia Dortmund are said to be the most interested.
Up at Turin newspaper Tuttosport it’s claimed there could be a ‘blitz’ for Benatia.
The Morocco international’s future could be ‘far from’ the Italian city and it’s stated Marseille were interested first, followed by Arsenal, with Dortmund interest described as ‘more in the background’.
Corriere dello Sport also report a possible exit for Benatia, and they say Arsenal and Marseille want the player.
