Celtic could be denied the chance to bring Adam Idah back to the club, with several sides in Italy eyeing up a move for him.

That’s according to Corriere di Verona, who report that Verona and Fiorentina are also in the mix for the Norwich City striker.

Idah spent the second half of last season on loan with Celtic and proved to be a massive hit for Brendan Rodgers, scoring nine goals and registering two assists in 19 games in total.

Several reports in Scotland have made it clear that Celtic are keen to sign the striker on a permanent basis and it was believed a deal was advancing on that front.

They could now face competition, though, as Verona have already sought out a potential deal for the striker.

The Italian side were interested in the January transfer window and his name is being considered once again as one ‘worth considering’.

There is also interest from Fiorentina as they look for a striker themselves, so both could provide competition to Celtic and snatching what had appeared to be an easy signing from their hands.

Neither side have seemingly made an offer as yet, but they could, which perhaps should make Celtic move quickly to wrap things up while they can.
