With Alexandru Maxim still getting a lack of games at Stuttgart, there is continuing speculation the midfielder will move in the summer. The Romania international was linked with a move to Leeds United in the last window, with claims they could go back in for the player in the summer.
Zvw.de have reported on Maxim’s situation at Stuttgart, where he has been frozen out by Hannes Wolf this season. Since the turn of the year Maxim has got little playing time, and on a few occasions he’s even been left out of Wolf’s match day squad.
Zvw believe this will lead to Maxim exiting the German side in the next window, but unlike in January there could be more interest. Zvw say only Leeds United and Mexican side Club America were showing an interest in the Romanian during the winter window, but his agent expects there to more options in the summer.
Leeds United could look to take advantage of Maxim’s situation in the summer after holding initial talks with his agent in January. The midfielder’s representative has spoken about his client having to find a new club in the next window, and confirmed he had contact with Leeds United.
It seems as long as Wolf remains with Stuttgart, Maxim will struggle to get games, and a move looks on the cards.
