Manchester United youngster Facundo Pellistri will return to Alavés this summer on loan, but the two clubs still have details to be ‘worked out’.
That’s according to Uruguayan journalist Fabián Bertolini, who provides an update on his countryman’s future.
Pellistri spent the second half of last season on loan with Alavés and was impressive when given a chance.
The Spanish club are keen to have him back this year if a deal is possible, and the youngster would be happy to make the move if given the chance.
That rests on Manchester United, with them yet to decide what to do with Pellistri this summer, and a recent display against Derby reportedly making them think twice about letting him leave.
It means Alavés have been sat waiting to see what happens, but Bertolini now reports that Pellistri ‘will return to Alavés’.
He says the youngster will be moving on loan from Manchester United, but there are details that need ‘to be worked out’ before it can happen.
What those details are, isn’t mentioned, but we’re sure it’s got something to do with money as these things are usually held up by such issues.
This, though, is the most confident anyone has been about Pellistri returning for some time, so perhaps we’re finally going to see some movement on his return to Spain.
