Since Juventus were knocked out of the Champions League by Porto last week, there’s been many transfer rumours surrounding the Old Lady, especially those involving Cristiano Ronaldo.
With the Portuguese star failing to get far in the European competition for the third season in a row, there are those who believe his time in Turin should be over already.
Now as several destinations are pointed out, there’s of course a return to Manchester United being mentioned. That subject is approached by newspaper Tuttosport today.
They claim that a move back to Old Trafford seems to be ‘the most probable track’ for him, staying only behind the 36-year-old’s stay at Juventus.
They say that in this case, the ‘most probable hypothesis’ would be a swap between Manchester United and Juventus involving Paul Pogba and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Good thing for the Old Lady is that the Frenchman only makes €15m per season, and that’s half the Portuguese star’s wages. That means the Italian giants could get the midfielder and still have money to sign a top striker to replace the Ronaldo.
It’s probably worth pointing out that Tuttosport aren’t making a big noise about this swap or anything like that. All they do is analyse the chances of Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Turin, and for them, the obvious destination would be Manchester again.
