It’s all been a bit quiet on the Zlatan Ibrahimovic front of late, probably due to the fact the Swedish striker is fully committed to doing his best to qualify his country for the Euro first knockout round, even though things aren’t going to plan so far.
The (still) Paris Saint-Germain striker has managed to convert his next destination into a media circus, as tends to be the case with most things involving Zlatan, and everyone is lapping it up.
Widely expected to sign for Manchester United once his country either win the tournament (don’t laugh) or get knocked out, Ibrahimovic will make his decision public one way or another.
Nevertheless, it would appear that AC Milan in Italy haven’t given up hope of resigning their once talismanic striker, with the new Chinese investors capable of providing the funds to get a deal done.
Speaking to Sportmediaset in Italy, the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, managed throw the whole thing wide open again with one simple sentence.
He said: “He has told me where he wants to go. Italy? We are on the market and hope is always last to die. We will see.”
This has, of course, excited quite a few Italian websites, yet MilanLive maintain Manchester United are still ahead of the pack, with José Mourinho working hard to ensure he has his former player with him on his new adventure.
Either way, Zlatan’s decision will create a headline.
Whether that is in England or in Italy remains to be seen.
