Jose Mourinho isn’t messing about if Tuttosport are to be believed.
Not only does he want to complete the signing of Juventus’ Alex Sandro ‘as soon as possible’ (with Matteo Darmian part of the deal), but he’s also telephoned Leonardo Bonucci.
Yep, Tuttosport claim Manchester United’s manager has picked up the telephone and told the defender he wants him at Old Trafford.
Everything is presented as being at a very early stage, but the move certainly isn’t ruled out. It’s obviously a big story in Italy and it will be interesting to see how the press local to AC Milan cover the claims, given Tuttosport is a Turin newspaper.
Milan would want at least €40m and there’s talk of a loan with an obligation clause.
That sounds bizarre, but Tuttosport say such a deal would benefit Milan as it allows them to further amortise the cost of Bonucci and increase the amount of capital gain from a deal.
We’re all going to have to start studying accountancy.
Mourinho is said to be ‘convinced’ Bonucci is his man, and believes he can form a good partnership with Eric Bailly, although both men are right-footed.
It’s stated Victor Lindelof would leave for Wolves, but one would assume that’s come from English claims, and other players be edged towards the exit.
Leonardo Bonucci turned 31 years of age on May 1st, and has an AC Milan contract lasting until June 2022.
