José Mourinho is determined to bring Thomas Meunier to Tottenham this summer but is yet to convince Daniel Levy to sanction the move.

The Belgian right-back is out of contract at Paris Saint Germain this summer and, despite expressing a desire to remain at the club, is yet to receive a new contract offer.

As a result, his future seem to lie away from the club, and it is Tottenham who are pushing hardest to secure his signature, according to L’Equipe.

Mourinho has ‘expressed his esteem’ for the 28-year-old and made it clear he wants him as part of his squad next season.

However, he is yet to ‘convince’ Levy to sanction the move, despite the fact right-back has been an issue for the club since they let Kieran Trippier leave to join Atlético Madrid last summer.

Time may be running out for Tottenham to get a move over the line, though, with other Premier League clubs now entering the race.

According to the newspaper, Chelsea and Manchester United have now ‘come to the table’, suggesting Spurs may end up fighting to get their man.
