It wouldn’t be a normal summer of transfer rumours if Sergej Milinković-Savić wasn’t involved in some shape or form, but worry not, he is.

There have been a few murmurs of Manchester United lurking in the shadows in case Paul Pogba were to leave, but with the Frenchman seemingly now happy at Old Trafford, the door is opened for other clubs, like Tottenham.

Milinković-Savić was a recurring target when José Mourinho was in charge of the Red Devils, and with him now at Tottenham, it was only a matter of time before Spurs would get linked.

Foot Mercato are the ones with the report on Tuesday, explaining the Serbian is ‘of great interest’ to the London club, who have ‘a sufficient financial standing’ to get a deal done, with sales also hoped for this summer.

It’s explained Mourinho has noticed a ‘lack of density and size’ in his midfield, and is ‘concretely’ turning his attention to Milinković-Savić to sort that problem out.

Not only that, but the Lazio star has ‘convinced everyone at Tottenham, and the player is ‘open to listening to any project that can help him go up a step in his career’.

Will this be the time for him to finally leave Rome for pastures anew?
