As in every Champions League week, European sports newspapers are full of pre-match reports about their local teams and opponents.
And Sport are obviously making a big coverage of Barcelona’s visit to Celtic Park, which will happen tomorrow night.
The newspaper has a introduction to Celtic’s most important players, who in their opinion, are Moussa Dembélé and Scott Sinclair.
But when describing Dembélé, there’s an interesting claim. They state the former Fulham striker has been followed by Manchester United and is a transfer target for the club. To get to the point, Sport say: ‘The Manchester United of Mourinho intends to sign him.’
Sport says that José Mourinho wants him and sent scouts to watch the player during England’s U21 match against France last week.
Manchester United would pay much more than Celtic’s initial outlay, and the whole transfer could prove to be very profitable for Celtic, regardless of when and where he goes.
With 16 goals in 25 games, Dembélé is having a fantastic start to the season, and links to top clubs are quite inevitable. But in this case, perhaps this is more about hyping up Celtic, and a genuine excitement surrounding their young star.
