Marca miss Jose Mourinho, well at least their journalist Manuel Julia does.

In a back page snippet in their Friday edition, Marca go with a headline saying ‘Return, Mou’ and unless it’s a huge dollop of sarcasm, it appears the Manchester United manager is genuinely missed by the Spanish media.

Manuel Julia says ‘Let’s be honest: we miss Mou’ and explains Spanish journalists prefer moving like ‘meatballs and sauce with the hustle and bustle’ from Mourinho compared to a more calm situation.

The Manchester United manager’s press conferences are described as ‘a trip on a roller-coaster’, and it’s suggested perhaps there’s something missing for Mourinho in England.

Whilst it’s accepted the Portuguese has his faults, Manuel Julia says these are all forgiven… they miss him and want him back.

Mourinho is said to have a love of journalism, and whilst this may be tongue in cheek, the Marca article says he’s such a fan of newspapers that he single-handily took on a mission to help sales increase.

‘Mou’ filled newspapers with attractive headlines and, perhaps our favourite, started ‘wars with invisible bullets’.

If Manchester United becomes too difficult a task for Mourinho, the Spanish media may be ready to welcome him back to La Liga with opens arms.
