On January 2nd, Africa Foot reported Manchester City are in the lead to sign Real Valladolid’s Juma Bah, after making contact with his agent ‘a fortnight ago’.
A week ago, the same outlet stated the Citizens haven’t returned for the centre-back since contacting his representative. It was also said Inter Milan are ahead of Manchester City in the race to sign him.
Manchester City haven’t given up on the 18-year-old if a report from journalist Gianluca Di Marzio is to be believed.
Last summer, Real Valladolid took him from Sierra Leone side AIK Freetong on loan with an option to buy. He’s made 11 La Liga appearances so far and his performances have caught the attention of several clubs.
The Serie A side are keen on signing the Sierra Leone defender but currently don’t have a free non-EU slot. Their plan is to secure his services and send him on loan to Monza, however, that won’t be easy because of Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s side are the ‘most advanced of them all’ and are ‘pushing hard’ to sign the youngster and that complicates Inter’s negotiations. This would indicate the English club have regained the lead in the transfer race.
