Despite that, it was also made clear that staying at Celta Vigo until the summer was a very real possibility for the player… and that’s what happened.

Gomez is then quoted as saying: “I don’t know if I’m going or I’m staying. I am now at Celta and I hope it continues like this, helping the team is fundamental.
“Many things come out, I do not look at those things. As I say, I am very happy here and can hopefully continue contributing and helping.”
