Lazio’s attempt to sign Mason Greenwood from Manchester United should have some new chapters in the coming days.

That’s now reported by Corriere dello Sport, who feature a story with all the information on how things have been going.

It’s said Lazio made a move by offering €20m plus 50% of a future transfer, and that was turned down by Manchester United, who demand €35m.

The Italian side are now hopeful that the Red Devils will drop that demand. Club president Lotito is said to be waiting until Sunday to decide whether to make an improved bid.

Corriere writes that Manchester United’s intention is to sort out the Greenwood and Jadon Sancho cases before the start of pre-season, so there’s some pressure for those sales.

Monday is then expected to be a key day for the clubs to meet again and see who’ll change their stance about the player.

Greenwood, who must know his Manchester United career is over, will be aware he needs to find a new destination this summer and his agents have been working on that, and trying to build hype, for months.
