Sunday saw a few statements being made about the Mohamed Salah to Liverpool saga get some fans excited at the prospect of the AS Roma winger signing imminently, even being unveiled as Monday, with claims of cancelled plans and rushed signings.

Much like the last update we provided a couple of weeks ago on the situation, things aren’t quite as advanced as some would lead you to believe.

There had been claims of personal terms being agreed, with some even stating a medical was scheduled, which Sport Witness learnt wasn’t the case.

That was 19 days ago, and while things appear to have progressed, Liverpool signing Mohamed Salah still remains a ‘possibility’, but it’s not a strong one, yet.

With the player currently in Egypt enjoying himself on holiday splitting his time between his home town and Cairo, and with two months of the transfer window to go yet, there is still plenty of time for all parties to get something signed.

These things can take time.

While some transfers can happen overnight, most don’t, and with Roma trying to get the best deal possible for one of their best players, it could take a while longer.
