The Portuguese media brings today mixed reports regarding Porto’s interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers fullback Ruben Vinagre.
The one with a bigger story is newspaper A Bola. They say that since Alex Telles is close on leaving the Dragons this summer, the club have already ‘identified’ a target to replace him, and that’s the Wolves player.
For now, there’s no information on talks between the clubs, or even on how much Porto would pay for the 21-year-old.
It’s only claimed that Ruben Vinagre’s transfer is conditioned to Alex Telles’ departure, so this isn’t something that would happen so quickly.
Despite A Bola’s reports, newspaper O Jogo comes up with opposite claims. They point out that Porto’s interest in Ruben Vinagre is being reported, but write that the player isn’t in the plans of manager Sérgio Conceição.
Perhaps things could change in case Alex Telles move out of the club, as he’s been one of Porto’s main players for the past few seasons.
However, for now, it seems the coach isn’t too concerned about it.
