Both Birmingham City and Sheffield Wednesday have contacted the agent of Miquel Nelom, report De Telegraaf in their Wednesday edition.

The Dutch newspaper say Nelom will be allowed a departure on reasonable terms, because of the long service he’s given to Feyenoord.

At the Dutch club since 2011, the Eredivisie side are ‘willing to cooperate’ with January transfer approaches for the left back.

De Telegraaf say Nelom has ‘not yet made a decision’ about Birmingham or Sheffield Wednesday and is ‘not yet convinced’ the English Championship is where he wants to be.

Worried whether the two sides can match his ‘level of ambition’, Nelom will wait for a little longer in the window, according to the Dutch claims, hoping for something more exciting to come in.

It’s claimed there’s no shortage of interest in the 27 year old, but it’s now more than halfway through the January window and only Birmingham City and Sheffield Wednesday have come forward.
