As Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is turning into a fan favourite in Manchester United’s chase for a new midfielder, any update on the player’s situation comes out as interesting news in this saga.
There are some good quotes coming from Italy today, as the player’s agent Mateja Kezman has spoken to website Calcio Mercato.
The official first spoke about the big interest that Milinkovic-Savic has been attracting in the summer market, as his future at Lazio is still no certain.
“He still has a long contract with Lazio, but as I told you a few days ago, the interest in Sergej is huge, you never know what can happen from one day to the next, so we’ll see what the future has,” Kezman told Calcio Mercato.
The lack of Champions League football next season is seen as a big issue at Lazio. Calcio Mercato claims that it will be hard for the club to keep their players without European football, and asked the representative if that would have influence in a move out of the club.
“The Champions League is the dream of all those who play football, but he’s still 23 and therefore has plenty of time to dispute it.”
Earlier today, we covered claims from Italy which talked about a possible €100m bid from Paris Saint Germain for Milinkovic-Savic. So if Manchester United are really in, they better be prepared to spend.
