AC Milan legend Dida has spoken to ESPN Brasil about Alisson this week.
The former goalkeeper, who played for a little time with the Liverpool star at Internacional, has talked about the player’s improvement in the past few years as a professional.
“Look, I really like Alisson. I think he’s a great keeper. I had the opportunity to work with him at Internacional. I see his big growth in football. That is, his departure, came to Europe, went to the Brazilian team,” Dida told ESPN Brasil.
But it’s interesting how Dida held his horses before saying more about Alisson, and has claimed that there’s still a lot for him to improve and achieve in his career.
“I really hope he can even be that goalkeeper that everyone expects him to be. Let him win many things here in Europe and also consolidate himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.”
Dida’s résumé includes two Champions League titles, a World Cup, a Copa Libertadores and several other league titles. He played for AC Milan between 1999 and 2010, and was present in both European finals against Liverpool.
Alisson, on the other hand, is still to win a title in his professional career. So it’s normal to see someone like Dida being calm and hoping his compatriot wins some titles soon.
