Ander Iturraspe needs a new home.

The midfielder has now left Athletic Club Bilbao at the end of his contract, and is free to sign for whoever he wants.

Having worked with Marcelo Bielsa at the Basque club, he’s obviously been linked with Leeds United, with claims going to earlier this year.

El Desmarque reports he has offers from Greece and also Asian clubs, but would prefer to either stay in Spanish football or move to England.

When it comes to the Elland Road option, it’s explained the 30 year old ‘would not look badly’ on linking up with Bielsa again.

Iturraspe needs to give his career a kickstart, and playing for a manager who had faith in him would obviously be enticing.

However, there’s absolutely no rush, despite preseason soon starting for clubs around Europe.

He wants to take his time and assess the options available, believing he has a lot to offer and needn’t feel rushed into accepting an offer which isn’t ideal.
