According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce midfielder Josef de Souza this week held talks with West Bromwich Albion, with regards to a move to the Premier League in the next window.

The Brazilian was on the verge of joining West Brom in the last window, but his move to the Hawthorns fell through at the last minute.

Milliyet have reported De Souza travelled to England this week after being given time off by Fenerbahce to negotiate a transfer to West Brom.

It’s been revealed West Brom are lining up an offer of €15m, which is €3m more than they were prepared to pay the Turkish giants in the summer.

De Souza also took the time to visit Brazil’s training camp as they prepared for last Tuesday’s game against England.

However, his move to West Brom could still depend on Tony Pulis’ future with the club, after recent claims his job is under threat. Pulis’ side suffered a heavy defeat to Chelsea on Saturday, a result which leaves West Brom 17th in the Premier league table.
