Part of the Portuguese media is sounding very confident that the negotiations between Everton and Sporting for the transfer of Matheus Nunes are moving forward.
We see two stories about the situation today, and one of them comes from Correio da Manhã, who claims the midfielder is ‘on his way out’ of the Lions.
The newspaper writes that Nunes is ‘very close to heading towards Everton’ on a €20m deal.
They say many clubs had been interested in the player, but the Toffees are those who got closer to the price demanded by Sporting.
The other article is from Record, who claims that the clubs continue to talk to ‘close the transfer’ of the 22-year-old to the Goodison Park.
Record says the ‘news’ today is that Everton have a contract waiting for Nunes, and the Toffees should offer him at least five times more what he currently warns at Sporting, as he’d make over £1m per season in England.
The outlet also claims that the Lions could make €20m with the sale, stating that the midfielder is now ‘close’ to Everton.
