Watford are continuing to push for a deal for Sampdoria midfielder Morten Thorsby but are yet to reach an agreement for him.

That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who say the ‘sirens’ from the Premier League are ‘increasingly incessant’ for the Norwegian.

According to their information, Thorsby is a ‘big hit’ with Watford, who would like to bring him to Vicarage Road ahead of their return to the Premier League this season.

The two clubs are ‘discussing’ a move, but an agreement is yet to be found from an economic point of view.

There is no mention of the fee that Sampdoria are looking for, but it’s made clear that they are waiting for a ‘fair offer’ before selling one of their key players.

When Watford offer what they are looking for, or at least a fee that they consider ‘fair’, they will then give the ‘final green light’ for a transfer to happen.

It remains to be seen whether Watford can find a price the Italian side want then, with Thorsby clearly a player they are interested in this summer.
