Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport today features an update on the situation lived by Aaron Ramsey at Juventus.
With the Welshman having a huge salary, the fact he hasn’t been used by manager Massimiliano Allegri makes him an issue to be sorted at the Old Lady, who want him gone either on a loan or a permanent move.
And as Gazzetta tries to list a few options Ramsey has in the January transfer window, Newcastle United are named as the potential solution for him.
They first point out that other Premier League sides such as Burnley and Crystal Palace have both held an interest in signing him, and both options have been turned down by the midfielder.
Regarding Newcastle, it’s said Ramsey is currently ‘awaiting’ for the Magpies to move for him, but the problem is that this alternative is ‘not still really warm’.
The midfielder’s agents continue to work as Juventus gave the player ‘maximum availability’ for his departure.
The priority is a sale ‘at advantageous costs’ for the buyer, and in case that isn’t possible, then the Old Lady would accept a loan, trying to make the new club afford as much of his salary as possible.
