With Lucas Bergvall set to leave Djurgarden for Tottenham Hotspur next summer, the Swedish media can’t stop talking about that transfer.
The story today comes from Aftonbladet, who interviewed one of the 18-year-old’s teammates to talk about the move.
Albin Ekdal, who has just arrived at Djurgarden in January, claimed that Bergvall has already left him ‘impressed’ in his first month at the club.
“He has what it takes to become an incredibly good player. Then it’s up to him how he manages it. He will come to a level and an environment that is very demanding, but I think he has what it takes to become a real top player,” Ekdal told Aftonbladet.
Earlier today, we covered local reports which said the player even completed medicals to sign for the Camp Nou side, and Tottenham Spurs managed to win the race with some alleged help from his compatriot Dejan Kulusevski, who may or may not have convinced him that a move to London would be the best option.
The midfielder is now set to spend six more months in his country before joining Tottenham, who are spending an initial €10m on his arrival.
