SporunDibi have claimed Bursaspor are chasing Middlesbrough goalkeeper Victor Valdes. The Turkish side are currently going through one of the worst spells in the club’s history and their board thinks signing high profile players could help them to make peace with the fans.

Bursaspor’s first choice goalkeeper Harun Tekin is drawing attention from Fenerbahçe, and SporunDibi say Bursaspor are subsequently targeting Valdes as his replacement. The 35 year old goalkeeper spent this season at Middlesbrough, and he’s finally got the playing time he was after following his disappointing spell at Manchester United

Following relegation to the Championship, it’s got to be considered likely Valdes will consider his future at Middlesbrough, Signed by Aitor Karanka, the change in the club’s management could also have an impact on the Spaniard’s thinking.

Bursaspor are said to be looking to take advantage of this situation, and SporunDibi claim they are already in discussions with the player.
