Antonio Barragan may not be a Middlesbrough player for much longer, if Estadio Deportivo are correct.
The Seville based newspaper report that Real Betis are close to securing a deal to sign the 30 year old and taking him back to Spain. Transfer talks are said to be ‘very advanaced’ and this seems to be one they expect to happen, rather than simply a rumour.
Estadio Deportivo say that whilst there are still ‘some aspects to negotiate’, ‘Everything indicates’ a deal will be found before the end of the week.
Barragan wants to return to Spain, report Estadio, rather than playing in the Championship for Middlesbrough. There’s no mention of transfer fee from the local Spanish newspaper.
Marca take it further and claim Barragan is having a medical in Seville, and will then sign for Betis. It’s stated the Middlesbrough player will initially move on loan, with a buying clause, but it’s not known whether that clause will be mandatory or not.
