Even though reports from the English media have claimed that Sporting striker Andraz Sporar has already had his medicals ahead of the transfer to Middlesbrough, there are outlets still taking things easy in Portugal.
Newspaper Record today writes that even though the move is going forward, the clubs haven’t finalised the agreement yet.
The outlet writes that Sporting have been trying to raise the amount for the loan.
Although that isn’t an issue which could make the transfer collapse, it’s still a subject that could delay the agreement for a little longer.
Record says that another ‘fundamental aspect’ is the obligatory buying clause, which as things stand, will be triggered in case the striker scores 15 goals and Middlesbrough are promoted to the Premier League. They highlight the fact that Boro were 10th in the Championship last season, clearly showing that they were far from clinching a place in the Premier League.
In case the objectives are met, Sporar would then be permanently signed in a €8.5m deal.
