Julien De Sart joined Middlesbrough in 2016 and hasn’t yet been able to make a breakthrough for the club.
First there was a loan move to Derby County and De Sart then spent last season back on loan in Belgium. Signing for Zulte Waregem for the season, the 23 year old was able to continue his development, playing more than 30 times for his loan club.
It was thought in the Belgian media that De Sart would go out on loan again this summer, or move permanently, perhaps back to his home country again, but time has been slipping away and a deal needs to be found soon.
The Middlesbrough player’s brother Alexis De Sart is also a footballer, with the 21 year old trying to make a name for himself at Sint-Truiden.
Speaking to Het Belang van Limburg, he was asked about Julien and explained: “My brother is back to Middlesbrough. They are looking for a solution for him. Julien is very important to me. We call each other every day. Family has always been very important to me. When we played with STVV against Zulte Waregem and Julien last season, it felt pretty weird. The ultimate dream is to play football together with Julien at the highest level, who knows in the national team. For that we both still have to grow seriously.”
There’s no suggestion from Het Belang van Limburg of where Julien De Sart could end up before the end of the month.
Middlesbrough have the player on a contract until June 2019 so any loan would require an extension first.
