Gaston Ramirez may not have been called up to the Uruguayan national team for the next couple of games, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be far from the squad and the media’s attention.

As there won’t be any Premier League games this weekend due to the international break, the player took some days off to solve some issues in Uruguay.

After arriving in his home country, he asked the manager Oscar Tabarez if he could train together with the squad, and the request was accepted by the boss.

Ramirez’ attitude received praise from the local press, especially Diario Vecinos, who covered the whole story. They compliment the fact that the player has no hard feelings after not being called up, showing how much of a family the national team is.

The Middlesbrough player is being used as a great example of professionalism.

Maybe Middlesbrough fans won’t agree with the Uruguayan stance, given his efforts to force a transfer during the January window.
