Middlesbrough fullback Alex Bangura is being targeted by Serie A clubs, according to Italian reports.
As newspaper Corriere Dello Sport features a story about Frosinone’s need for reinforcements, they bring a list of players who could join them in the coming months.
For the left back, the outlet claims Bangura, who joined Middlesbrough last summer, is a potential signing.
There are no further details on that chase, with the newspaper not mentioning whether there are talks for the transfer or even how much the player would cost.
Middlesbrough signed Bangura from Dutch side SC Cambuur last summer. So far, he’s made nine appearances for the club, having few chances to start there.
Still, it’s not that clear that Boro would be willing to get rid of him so soon, especially because he’s just 24 and has just arrived in English football.
Covering the story, Calcio Frosione point out that Bangura has been ‘playing very little’ in the Championship, so that’s potentially the argument the Italian club will use to get him.
They would almost certainly move for a loan deal, perhaps with a purchase option.
