Italian website Calcio Mercato has an article today saying Middlesbrough would be interested in the Venezuelan midfielder Juanpi Añor.
The story doesn’t have many details on the chase for the Malaga player, as they just say that Aitor Karanka would be wanting him, and don’t give any credits to other news sources.
However, with a little search, it wasn’t hard to find the rumour’s original source. It comes from Don Balón, a Spanish outlet which is well known for, let’s say, some slightly unrealistic transfer stories.
They claim that Karanka can’t stop ‘shocking the world’ with his transfers and the Venezuelan international would be the next addition to the team.
The rumour has been spreading through the transfer websites, especially in Italy. But due to where the report comes from, it shouldn’t be getting too much attention.
Añor plays on both wings and as a central midfielder. According to Transfermarkt, he’s worth €3m and his contract expires in 2018.
