It’s Mesut Ozil’s turn.

With the Catalan media currently going through one of their periods in which every conceivable big name Barcelona target gets a big mention, it’s now the turn of Arsenal’s German star.

Mundo Deportivo have been pushing the idea of Antoine Griezmann as an alternative to Coutinho, with Liverpool not playing ball, and now Ozil is the next alternative.

The Catalan newspaper state Ozil ‘has no intention of renewing his contract with Arsenal’, and it’s believed a January move is possible, so that’s what Barcelona would line up.

There’s a couple of big pluses next to Ozil’s name for Barcelona. One is that he’d be available in the Champions League for the rest of the season, and the second is that his Arsenal contract runs out in June.

Mundo Deportivo obviously believe that means he’d be a relatively cheap deal in the January transfer window.

With it seeming like Ozil is waiting around for something better than he’s currently got at Arsenal, Barcelona would surely be an attractive alternative and La Liga a style of football he may prefer.
