Arsenal’s willingness to pay Dusan Vlahovic’s agents millions could ‘shuffle the cards’ for a move in the January transfer window.
That’s according to La Nazione, who say if the reports from England are based on any sort of fact, it could sway the Serbian’s thinking.
Vlahovic is one of the hottest prospects in Europe and is being coveted by all of the top clubs in Europe.
Arsenal are also in the mix and had tried to beat the competition to his signature earlier in the year but failed to convince the player that the Emirates should be his next destination.
Their interest has not gone away despite that, and a recent report in England made it clear that they were willing to pay a top transfer fee alongside huge wages and signing bonuses for his agents to convince him on the move.
La Nazione cover that today and say that if the details in this report are true, or ‘at least close’, then it could lead Vlahovic to ‘waver’.
The €18m that Arsenal would be reportedly willing to offer to his entourage, coupled with the €70m transfer fee to Fiorentina and €19m in wages over five years, could ‘concretely shuffle all the cards’ on the table.
Such numbers would be extremely tempting for Fiorentina, and rather than there being an auction in the summer, which will start in the spring, they would be able to get a deal done quickly and easily.
It would also mean they can avoid sitting at the table with the likes of Juventus, something they would be very happy with.
It’s all on Arsenal, then. If they’ve got the money and can offer what’s been reported in England, then Fiorentina and the player might be tempted.
