Ahead of Sandro Ramirez signing for Everton in the summer, the then Malaga striker was spotted at Liverpool’s Titanic Hotel, obviously in final talks to seal the deal.
Avoiding any jokes about Sandro’s Everton career sinking quickly, we can quickly move on to another hotel meeting. Valencia owner Peter Lim, manager Marcelino, and a couple of other important club officials, all met on Tuesday to talk transfers.
Convening at a hotel in the Spanish city, the meeting was to plan movement in the January window, and then outline further plans for the next summer market.
For the winter, Sandro is said to be a prime target, with Valencia wanting to add a striker. Plaza Deportiva explain for a Spanish audience that Sandro is having a horrid time in England and would be very keen on the move, partly because he still has faint hopes of making Spain’s World Cup squad.
There’s no suggestion what kind of deal would be offered to Everton, but there’s previously been talk of a potential loan with some kind of redemption clause.
Everton’s opinion on the potential deal isn’t being second guessed by Plaza Deportiva, and could be down to the opinion of the club’s next manager, and how hard Sandro is willing to push.
