Max Hagmayr is continuing his tour of Europe, with Bild reporting the agent has met RB Leipzig sports director Markus Krösche at the Armani Hotel in Milan.
The Bundesliga club are said to be serious about signing Valentino Lazaro, who Newcastle United have been trying to get themselves.
Hagmayr has already travelled to Newcastle, but was unable to agree on terms with Steve Bruce’s club. That’s led to him looking for interest from elsewhere, with Leipzig being the club to provide the most.
Despite that, Bild insist the club will not simply do the deal at any price, and they’re unwilling to match the terms Inter Milan want. The Serie A club are prepared to loan the player out for the rest of the season, but they want to put a €23m purchase option in the contract.
Bild think it’s unlikely RB Leipzig will agree to that figure, and they present Newcastle United as the competition.
Now Hagmayr may have to take another private jet trip, to another fancy hotel, and start to really earn his money.
