Ajax defender Mike van der Hoorn is on the verge of completing his move to Swansea City, reports De Telegraaf on Tuesday.
The Dutch newspaper seem to have some details of the contract. It is reported the 23-year-old will sign a three year contract, with an option to extend it for another year.
Swansea will pay €2.5m to Ajax for the services of the Dutch defender, but that amount could rise significantly due to bonuses that have been agreed, but the Welsh club obviously won’t mind paying a little extra if it’s related to success.
The player is expected to undergo his medical examinations today, after which a deal could be announced.
Mike van der Hoorn signed for Ajax, three years ago, in a €3.8m deal from Utrecht, and made 15 league appearances last season. He’s right footed and is comfortable either side of central defence.
