Adnan Januzaj is very close to becoming a Real Sociedad player, report Mundo Deportivo.
On Tuesday the same newspaper reported that Januzaj’s agents were in Spain completing the details for a transfer to the La Liga club, and agreement was expected in the ‘coming hours’.
Things have taken a step forward and now Mundo Deportivo say Januzaj is undergoing a medical and won’t be a Manchester United player for much longer.
The medical was started early this morning, and as long as there’s no issues the transfer can be announced at some time today.
Whilst the player works on completing his Manchester United transfer, the agents are still at work finalising the details and paperwork.
Real Sociedad will pay a fee in the region of €10m, and whilst Manchester United won’t have a buyback clause, something Januzaj didn’t want, the club will be entitled to a lower buyout clause via a ‘preferred option’.
That sounds pretty much the same thing worded differently to please the player and his representatives.
